February 17th: La Pintura de Paisaje en México (The Landscape Painting in Mexico): presented in Spanish by Paula Mitre, our Spanish I instructor.

Interested in Board Membership?
The board will appoint a nominating committee for next year’s board. Board membership takes very little time, thanks to our board assistant, Amanda. We meet approximately four times a year and are also able to conduct business electronically via email.
Our current board is heavy with members who study Spanish, and in the interest of having all languages represented, new board members studying either Italian or French would be great! However, we encourage any La Causerie student who is interested in serving to please contact Amanda, who will advise the nominating committee.
Alliance Française Cultural Dinner!
The Alliance Française de Kansas City is hosting a two-night French-Indian Cultural Dinner at the home of our French instructor Cyprienne Simchowitz. Award winning chef, cookbook author, teacher and restaurateur Raghavan Iyer will be cooking dinner along with instructing how to prepare one dish on the menu.
To make reservations for either Friday, March 9th or Saturday, March 10th: please visit http://afkc.org/Event-FrenchIndianDinner-2012.html.
Do You Shop on Amazon?
Please remember, when shopping on Amazon a small donation is made to our organization, regardless of what you are shopping for. Simply click on the Amazon link found at the bottom of the La Causerie home page and shop away!
All members are encouraged to sign up for refreshments. Please remember the food is not a part of our budget; the Friday snacks are voluntarily provided by members. Also, if you enjoy the coffee and tea, we ask that you leave a donation in the basket next to the coffee pots.
The Livrets have been printed and are available for you to pick up. Copies are available in the social room.
