Teacher Evaluations
Thanks to all of you who filled out teacher evaluation forms. Your comments have been read and will help us improve the classes we offer.

Louis Imperiale will give a talk in Spanish on “Don Quixote’s Path to Freedom” Friday, Feb. 6, at 12:15 in the Calvin Center, located in the church basement. All are welcome to attend and to bring a brown bag lunch to eat during the presentation.

Talk at World War I Memorial March 4
Ed Strauss will give a talk and book signing at the World War I Memorial on Wednesday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m. on Poilu: The World War I Notebooks of Louis Barthas, Barrelmaker, which he translated from the French. “Poilu,” the French slang term for a foot soldier during World War I, is a firsthand journal of daily life recounted with striking realism. Students of World War I, as well as neophytes, should be able to enjoy and learn from Poilu.

Italian Cultural Program March 13
Louis Imperiale will give a talk in Italian about Italian music on Friday, March 13, at 12:15 in the Calvin Center. Come listen, learn and lunch all at the same time.

Snow Days
La Causerie follows the snow day guidelines used by the Shawnee Mission School District (SMSD). If the weather is inclement, check the local news and radio for school closings. If SMSD has a snow day, so does La Causerie.

Snacks
Enjoy the snacks? Please consider bringing treats for yourself and your fellow students sometime during the year. A sign-up sheet is in the social room. Anything you choose to bring will be welcome.

Parking
Remember to park in the lot behind the church and not in the parking places before the Crestwood shops so that patrons can easily access the shops.

PLEASE - pass the word along to your friends at La Causerie who may have missed seeing this transmission
